Introduction myself and my project

I am a  contemporary painting artist based in London and Tokyo. I earned Royal College of Art "RCA" GD Fine Art in UK. and  Joshibi J.B Art and Design in Japan. I use painting as a means to express my emotions and thoughts on a range of important topics, including current affairs, women's rights, peace, human anatomy, and Japanese culture. Through my projects and artwork, I hope to prompt viewers to question the world around them and to make a positive impact on their thoughts and emotions.

The process of creating and analysing art is an intricate and mysterious journey, and the sense of satisfaction I derive from unravelling its secrets drives my artistic pursuits. I want to share this sense of excitement and wonder with my viewers, encouraging them to explore the meaning and messages behind my work.

I am currently working on the 'Resonance' project, which draws inspiration from Buddhist views on reincarnation and interconnection. The project aligns with the United Nations' SDGs and aims to continue until 2030. With this project, I aspire to exhibit in outdoor spaces and display related works in a circular arrangement, emphasizing their interconnectedness. Through this approach, I hope to create a visually compelling experience that invites viewers to contemplate the interdependence of all things.

While I used to use oil paint and tempera in my work, I've recently become interested in using urushi lacquer, inspired by my love of kimonos. I've begun a project to upcycle second-hand kimonos, using the fabric as a canvas while retaining the traditional patterns and shape of the garment. My additional purpose is to share the beauty of my cultural heritage with future generations and promote sustainability in fashion.

My final goal is to continue developing personal projects that explore my cultural heritage and address important social and political issues, with a particular focus on feminism. I'm also keen to collaborate with other disciplines on hospital art, creating uplifting and healing art for patients and their families in healthcare settings.
